The recruitment of the APHREA-DST faculty scholars at both AAU and UoN follows the following process
Step 1: Email will be sent to faculty members who are potential candidates.
Step 2: Interested candidates shall fill out the bioscketches and faculty development questionnaire and send to the local PI within one week of sending the announcement.
Step 3: The APHREA-DST senior team members together with the training advisory committee members will meet to consider the applicants and rank them per the bio-sketches and response of the faculty development questionnaire.
Step 4: The list of candidates in descending order and a summary of their profiles are shared with the PIs for discussion and final decision.
Step 5: Two candidates are picked from each institutions after review by the APHREA-DST PIs. (Interviews may be arranged if necessary)
Step 6: The two successful candidates will be invited to the Friday full APHREA-DST meeting and the meeting will be informed of the decision.
Note: Individuals (with Conflict of Interest) who are applying to be a scholar, shall be removed from the selection committee in order to avoid any biases.
